I Beat Tom Cruise’s Wife.
This past Sunday, I ran the New York Marathon. Since this was a “fun run” and essentially training for Rocket City in a few weeks, I didn’t push things too much. I ran a 3:38 and experienced my first pain-free negative split marathon, sprinting the last 400 yards or so.
Perhaps more importantly, I finished just under two hours ahead of Katie Holmes. The power of Scientology cannot defeat me!
Regular readers, this is where I assure you I’m working on the race report.

I’m sure it was tons of fun. Were you able to taunt her as she crossed the finish line? Nothing quite says superiority like a little trash talk.

When Katie was finishing I think I was eating Italian in Soho.

Dean, nicely done! You’re on track for Huntsville.
Katie Holmes: she used to be so cute, before the brainwashing…

Congratulations, both on your finish and your wonderful site. I’ve recently taken up running and your goal (although my qualifying time is five minutes faster than yours, and my preparation is, well, substantially less impressive to date). Best of luck!
