Rich,

Well, in the half marathon, the "death warmed over" feeling comes on quite a bit quicker.

Andrew,

Temporary brain death is an apt description of mile 24.

Allow me to not congratulate you on not running last year.

But allow me to congratulate you for the weights and dietary adjustments. You deserve all of Kent's chiseled chin.

Dean, I was with you until you mentioned feeling like death warmed over by mid-race. Since Ed and I are only doing your "mid-race" in MB, you may have to scrape us off the finish line so you can qualify!

Good luck tomorrow. Thanks for letting us wheel suckers train with you and the tuesday hills crew!

I can think of only three ways to stop your brain from sending signals, alcohol, weed or temporary brain-death.

By the way I've kept my goal of not running the entire year of 2007 and I've renewed that goal for 2008, although I have procured a set of weights and have cut out all junk food including soda and other sugary drinks (most of which give you over 100% of recommended daily allowance in one 12 oz dose). In a mere 3 weeks I have lost over 7 pounds. This is especially evident in my formerly Travolta-ish facial cushion, which is already more Clark Kent than before.

I think the hottest chick to ever have lived is Jillian, the trainer on Biggest Loser, who is the definition of INTENSITY!!! *grin*

Good luck, buddy - and stay focused/strong.
